Today, we are planning to visit Tanah Lot in Bali since my friend that travels currently with me has never been there. After having the “Big Frog” breakfast at the Smiling Frog in Legian (Bali) we started our trip with our rented motorbike.
The trip with your “own” motorbike is it worth since you can stop by all the place you want for enjoying some fruits, drinks or just for taking a picture of a stunning view. Depending on the time you are going to start the time you need depends. Bali at rush hour times is full of traffic jams and slow traffic which slows you down. We started in the morning and the trip took us only around one hour.
When you arrive at the temple, you have to pay for the parking of your motor and for the entry fee which is around 60k IDR per person. The way to the temple starts first with a long shopping area of all these standard souvenirs. But passing these, you will be rewarded by the great scenery with the ocean around the temple. The only thing you cannot avoid are the tourist crowds – especially these Chinese traveler groups – passing continuously by in order to get the best selfie(s).
Spending around one hour with some nice photos we decided to leave for having lunch at the Smiling Frog. I also wanna have some sleep before I start my usual digital nomad work at 4pm.
