One day at the Chatuchak Weekend Market

If you’re in Bangkok you should visit the Chatuchak Weekend Market at the weekend for sure. This market is awesome for a visit even if you’re not looking to shop things. You’re gonna find everything you could imagine there since they have so many things starting from cloths or handcraft stuff.

If you’re looking more for cloths to shop I would recommend the Pratunam Markt. This marked is also used by the merchants of the tourist spots. So you’re gonna find all the usual t-shirts and cloths but cheaper.

The Chatuchak Weekend Market is easy to reach using the BTS. Just use the green line which has the Mo Chi as its final destination on the way to the north.

The market is divided in different areas. Every area got its own topic such as cloths or handcraft stuff. Every entrance got an information counter which provides you a free map of the market which tells you everything about the areas. With the map its easier for you to orientate and find the things you wanna visit.

Walking through the market means also to shop one or more souvenirs. There are so many nice things offereed. Especially the handmade things are awesome and nice as a present for your beloved people at home.

The market offers you also nice food, so you won’t stay hungry for sure. So you’ll be able to stay the whole day at the market while gettings some rest on one of these food stands.

In my case I’ve choose a yummy Pad Thai and a fresh mango juice. The fresh juices are really great and offered around every corner.

After spending some hours there I decided to go back to my hostel using the BTS again. But before I really left I decided to buy a delicious coconut for 60 Baht. Coconuts are always refreshing and provide you new energy 😉
